Christmas Eve Dinner

Hello, how was your Christmas ? I think it should be great to you right. 

This year we celebrate our Christmas eve dinner at Spasso Milano @ Strait Quay

Seriously this is the uncertainty plan because we didn't booked any restaurant to celebrate because we need to save money for our Taiwan trip next week.

But my bf suddenly changed his mind said Christmas must go out to eat some nice food .

We went to strait quay to hunt for nice restaurant unfortunately all restaurants were fulled. Spasso Milano was the only choice :)

I'm still remember I was celebrated my 21 birthday at Spasso Milano too but it was the KL branch.

*Spasso Milano at Strait Quay is pork free 

Apperizers

Smoked duck breast 

The duck breast was very soft and chewy . The duck breast is very flavouring but I can;t spot the seasoning on top also.

The pinkish duck breasts are very drooling XD

Soup will be my best choice :)

Wild mushroom soup with truffle oil.

The truffle oil is used to impart the flavor and aroma of truffles to a dish. The truffle oil has a very strong aroma even just a few drops .

But I have no idea why need to add truffle oil on it. After that I went back and google and found this quote :)

"Like adding truffle oil made one's food more luxurious!  Whatever!"

My bf main dish -Pizza
I forget what the name ==''

Because I don't like pizza ! I hate all bread things.

Carbohydrate makes me Fat !!

But the cheese is very annoying >< Make me want to have a bite on it 

Simple Aglio Olio

Although it was a very plain Aglio Olio however it tastes very good. I have no idea why people can make Aglio Olio so amazing!!

We walked around Strait Quay with the blowing sea breeze .

I'm start pointing to the boats and making jokes with my bf when we can have a chance to celebrate on our private boat then we no need to book any restaurant to celebrate already ;p

Who know his answer was quite surprised me ，hahahhah XD

Anyways this year I didn't prepare any Christmas gift for him just treat him this Christmas Eve dinner :)

Girls Day Out

It has been a while I didn't update my lifestyle post .

It was a non planning escape with my gf , we totally no plan at all and she just text me is that busy? Then I

replied to her nope .Then I asked her how about go out watch a movie. Then we just ON without 5 minutes

Actually .I taught want to go Sunway alone to bring back my cable from Maxis center and go window

shopping alone who knows when we went out together , she told me the same thing. I'm can't imagine if the

thing really happens and it must be an awkward moment because I taught she will be working. Me replied

her message late and she taught me busy also. The truth is I'm sleeping like a pig. HEHEHEHEHE

Anyway, we're able to meet each other .

So I bring her to a restaurant that actually I wanted to go long time ago which is Tokyo Pastry located at

Kota Damansara. Since last week we planned to have a high tea session at TWG but failed because it

was FULL  House.

We followed the WAZE and it successfully bring us to the destiny because usually Waze will bring me to

"HOLAND"

It reminds me the exercise book that I 'm used during primary school.

All their designs are very vintage and like old english style.

Look at this ! Just like the law book that TVB using as a decoration for movie or study room cupboard.

 While waiting for the food we are discussing what movie we want to watch , when I'm so concentrate on checking the showtime for the movie , you see what my gf do... She like to took my random candid shoot but with all my ugly face 👀👀👀

Dessert of the day, we are get attracted by this little "bo lo bau" thing. They are Tokyo Melon with 3 flavours (Matcha, Vanila,Chocolate)

 It's actually same as puff inside contains cream but the different is the outside layer is coated by sugar. I like the chocolate flavor because the strong aroma of chocolate is just so amazing match with the cream as well.

As usual , Matcha cake didn't have matcha flavor end up Jess forced me to eat all ><

Hot chocolate from Jess. Everytime I hang out with her, she sure will ordered hot chocolate.

This time she said to me like this.

Jess: Nah, this time I ordered hot one for you to blog =='' because it will looks nicer compared to the cold one. Keep nagging me don't be so lazy blogging.

Me : Sweat expression 99 !! Laugh out loud.

So I've promised to her will blog it as fast as possible :)

The cup is so antique :) Seriously  I like the cup very much I believe that if inside is normal blank water will also be nice because of the outlook of the cup.

Mine one is Lemon Mango Ice blended. It is so refreshing after ate too much of sweets.

Beside those melons, there are many other dessert also cakes, fruit tarts, macaroon and buns.

Burnt Butter wild mushroom salad (Roquefort cheese, caramelised walnut, coriander, truffle oil and lemon juice) –MYR 24

Normally I will not order salad as my appetizer but this salad did impress me especially the coriander& button mushroom is mixed well with the freshness lemon juice as dressing  which tickling my tastebuds.

As normal, I’m a soup and fungi lover so mushroom soup usually will be my starter for western cuisine. When I’m a child, I will always craving for PizzaHut mushroom soup instead of their pizza. When I growth up, mushroom soup still my favourite among all the western soups.

Chunky Mushroom soup (with truffle oil and garlic toast)- MYR 15

The pungent smell of all wild mushrooms just penetrates the air around. Highly recommend for those who like fungi.

Crab and Ebiko Salad- MYR 25

This is very light and fresh with the apple dressing.

Deconstructed Thai Beef salad (shredded green mango)- MYR 27

Talking about Thai salad” som tam”. I think most of the girl will like it because spicy and sour. But this is slightly different with what I ate at Bangkok because it includes Beef .

Golden soft-shell crab spaghettini (curry leave and chilli padi)- MYR 24

I’m carving for spaghetti with creamy sauce. Instead going the normal version

Carbonara. Since the pr strongly advises us to take those chefs recommend. So I’ve ordered the Golden soft shell crab spaghettini.  The taste is like our Chinese cusine” Butter Cream”. But it is too oily for me but the taste is good. Just for the petite like me please make sure you share with someone.

 Mexicana Tortilla (grilled chicken, bean stew, avocado, jalapeno and nacho’s)- MYR 24

 Inside the wrap is full of fantastic ingredients. The grilled chicken is not too dry and juicy enough . Nacho is my favourite snack rather than potato chips. Personally I’m feels like nacho is healthier than potato chips. 

Steak frites (char- grilled striploin with black pepper sauce, French fries and green bean) –MYR 53

The steak is normal for me because we ordered medium rare. Unfortunately the beef is overcooked become medium. Even though the meat is slightly overcooked. But the sauce and the texture is still in nice condition and very chewy.

 

 

Ben's nasi istimewa ( short rib rending, chicken berempah & sambal udang) –MYR 40

A huge portion for meat & seafood lover you can try all Malaysia traditional cusine in one time. Nasi lemak, rendang and sambal. It is quite spicy for me but the drumstick is very crunchy J the coconut milk flavour is very strong.

Teriyaki salmon with sesame seed crust( with steamed rice and salad)

My babe Carmen ordered a teriyaki salmon but she is so cute and make a request for can eliminate the steamed rice just give the salmon. But end up we don’t want make the waitress confuse so just order it without any changers.

Lychee lime –MYR 9.90

Lychee is always plays a good role with lime. It is one of the coolers. After eating so much, cooler will be a good choice to clear all the oiliness & greasiness.

Macadamia Caramel Cheesecake (caramel & macadamia brittle)- MYR 15

This cheesecake is not my cup of tea because it is not creamy enough. For those who doesn’t like the cheesy and creamy texture, you may give at try on it. Somemore the caramel sauce is strong so eventually the cheese flavour is decresed.

Banoffee Sundae( fresh banana, short bread ,ice cream & walnuts)- MYR 13

This sundae makes me think about Swenzen at Bangkok. The most classic sundae is working very well in Thailand. Personally I’m thinking this is romantic if you share your sweetness time with your love one.

Sticky Date Pudding (caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream)- MYR 14

I like this one the most among this three desserts.The caramel sauce is matched well with the sticky date pudding. The cold vanilla ice cream cross over with the warm pudding . It is perfect match! Trust me ....please try it.
